Co-Chairs of The Yale Welcoming Committee
Dear Future Internists,
Welcome to Yale!
The Yale Welcoming Committee (YWC) was created to provide an opportunity for you to get to know the residents and for the residents to share information with you. We are here to answer all questions regarding the every day nitty-gritty of what life is like inside and outside the hospital. As you progress through your interview season, we hope you will consider us a resource in addition to the Chief Residents and the Program Director. While we work closely with the administration during the interview season, your questions and comments are confidential and the residents involved in the YWC do not participate in the applicant selection process.
Please feel free to email yaleimwelcome@yale.edu with any questions that come up during your interview season and match process, or if you would simply like to connect with more residents after your interview. We always have someone on call to answer emails, and we are determined to get back to you within 48 hours. Please also check out our resident testimonials for more insight into the culture of our program. We will be hosting a webinar in late January or early February (date TBD) featuring a panel of current residents to answer any additional questions you may have regarding residency here. We hope that this provides a meaningful way for you to learn more about what it is like to be a resident at Yale-New Haven Hospital, the culture of the Yale Internal Medicine Traditional Residency Program, and the experience of living here in New England.
We wish you a wonderful interview season, and look forward to hearing from you soon!
